Louise Sproule

A 30-year career as publisher of a community newspaper serving Eastern Ontario has been the most wonderful way to get to know people and communities. Working in the newspaper world has included learning graphic design, and the ins and outs of advertising and marketing which have changed so much in recent decades. Growing up in the Hawkesbury-Vankleek Hill area, I have always loved local history, photographing local architectural gems and throughout my newspaper career, I have watched and reported on local development, zoning issues, housing shifts and changes in the rural landscape. My formal education includes a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Psychology. Answering questions about the region, directing people to finding the help they need and building community are just a few of my passions. My roots in this area run deep; I am descended from Simeon Van Kleek, the first settler in Vankleek Hill. So if you or your family want to set down some new roots here, give me a call!
