The village of Alfred is located along Highway 17, about 20 minutes west of Hawkesbury. Alfred is part of the Township of Alfred-Plantagenet and is surrounded by farms and rural countryside.

The main part of Alfred’s business section is along Rue St-Philippe Street. Beautification projects, a vibrant library and residential growth are all part of today’s Alfred. You may recall that is is also Ontario’s French-Fry Capital and is a great starting point to take a walk on the Alfred Bog boardwalk.
