EAST HAWKESBURY

A COMMUNITY SNAPSHOT

This rural municipality includes a big stretch of waterfront properties along the Ottawa River. Picturesque farm fields take one into the countryside. There are three villages in the Township of East Hawkesbury: Chute-à-Blondeau (on the waterfront), St-Eugene and Ste-Anne-de-Prescott.

EAST HAWKESBURY

The Township of East Hawkesbury is primarily rural and it borders on Québec, making it a quick connection to Highway 40, to Rigaud and the Hudson-Vaudreuil area. It is home to the Macdonell-Williamson House, a national historic site in Pointe-Fortune, which sits right on the Ontario-Quebec border. If you are looking for tranquil rural living, or life in a quiet, small village, you have found it. There are a few annual events which take place in the municipality, like the Ste-Anne-de-Prescott Antique Day – a fun journey into the past!
